Hello Thunder Vista Families 7.31.2020
Hello Thunder Vista Families,
We hope this communication finds you all healthy, happy, rested and reconnected with family and friends. We wanted to take a quick moment to connect with our school families following the recent message from Adams 12 and the Board of Education. As you know, we will begin our school year with remote learning until at least September 25th. Now that this Fall 2020 Learning Plan has been approved, we will partner with our district leaders to begin making plans to kick off this 2020-2021 school year. Although we are beginning the school year with this virtual environment, we are thankful we will have the opportunity to provide periodic in-person opportunities for all our students during this time. We have missed all our students and families tremendously and are grateful we will have the chance to see those smiling faces soon! We will be working to create our school specific plan over the coming weeks and will communicate the details as soon as they are finalized. In addition, please refer to the “Onward” page of the Adams 12 website found here for more detailed information about the Fall 2020 Learning Plan.
Finally, we are pleased to introduce our additional assistant principal, Manissa Featherstone. Manissa joins us from Woodglen and Coyote Ridge Elementaries, where she served as their assistant principal for two years. Before joining these two elementary schools, Manissa was a Language Learning Coordinator at both the school and district levels as well as a middle school social studies teacher. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in curriculum, leadership and educational systems and structures. She is excited to meet you all! The introduction of our other new and incredible staff members to Thunder Vista will be coming in the next few weeks.
