For Grades K-5, I will post all activities and assignments in Schoology and links to this website for certain learning activities Students in 6th-8th grade will continue using Schoology the online learning platform that we use at Thunder Vista.
I hope we can all grow and support each other this year spreading love and encouragement for each other as we evolve and grow. Listed below is information about attendance and grading of classes, along with my office hours for families and students. Let's keep spreading positivity as we engage together in our learning.

Welcome Back! Students will be able to access learning services for their grade level using Schoology. Tabs on the upper left-hand side will take you to the different music websites I have created. The grade levels are separated into groups accordingly: K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. For additional information about online learning or help answering any questions please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Elementary & Middle School Attendance: Attendance for elementary and middle school students will be mandatory. All assignments will be attached to the weekly menu in Schoology along with their due dates.
Elementary Grading: Thunder Vista follows Adams 12 policy on Standards-Based Grading. THV promises consistent posting of grades in Infinite Campus. In addition to posting to IC, some student assignments will receive virtual teacher feedback or comments. We will be using the music curriculum of Quaver this year. Grading will be seen in a 1, 2, 3, 4 coded system, and will match proficiency levels dictated by the district. In addition, Wednesdays will be open for student support.
Middle School Grading: Schoology assignment submissions are how grades will be determined for students. Students will receive a “complete = 3 or 4 depending on student work submitted” or “incomplete = 1 or 2 based on evidence provided” (All assignments are created based on grade level standards.) Student's grades on assignments will be posted in Infinite Campus. If an assignment received an incomplete score, the teacher will provide specific and timely feedback explaining how to enhance the work moving forward. Parents are welcome to support their child with clarifications, directions, and any modifications based on your child’s unique needs; however, the assignment needs to reflect the child’s understanding.
