Most of our school policies can be found in our Student & Parent handbook.  This is available online in the Family Resources section of our website.  

Our district uses Pay For It for fee payments.  To set up your account or log into your existing account, go to payforit.net.

Yes, you are welcome to eat lunch with your student.  You will need to check in at the front office with your driver's license.   We will scan your license into our Raptor system and give you a visitor's badge.  Due to food allergies, please refrain from bringing in lunch for anyone other than yourself and your student.  

Yes, Thunder Visat is open for Choice for the 2025-2026 school year.

All applications received are considered together in a random lottery. Process is not-first come, first-served.  Notifications will be sent via email by the end of the second week of April.

This website will be updated in mid February, once the results of the Priority lottery round have been sent to families.

​Kindergarten and NEW student registration is now open for the 2025-2026 school year. To confirm you live within our Thunder Vista boundaries, you may use the school finder prior to completing the online application. If you reside in our school boundary, select ENROLL and Neighborhood School to register your student(s).

Preschool

The Universal Preschool Program (UPK) bill which passed in Colorado will bring about changes in preschool enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year. Enrollments will no longer be processed at the school level. Please visit our Adams12 website to learn more about preschool options for the upcoming school year.

​The Thunder Vista boundary map can be found here.  Please confirm that Thunder Vista is your boundary school by using the Adams 12 boundary locator.  If you do not live within our school boundary, information about the Adams 12 Schools of Choice Program can be found on the Adams 12 Five Star Schools website.   Thunder Vista is not open for choice.  

For Kindergarten through 8th Grade, please visit Adams 12 Admissions website  to complete the online application to register your child.  Please upload the required documents  as you are completing the application process.

For tuition-based Preschool, please contact our school to see if we currently have availability in our preschool classrooms. For Colorado Preschool Program (CPP) or Preschool SPED inquiries, please contact the District Preschool office at 720-972-8760 or visit Adams12 District Preschool.

Thunder Vista does have a BASE program at our school grades K-5.  For more information about the program, please visit the BASE Program page under Family Resources.

All students enrolled in Adams 12 Five Star Schools can receive a FREE breakfast and lunch! Additional items such as snacks, beverages, and extra servings of our healthy entrée and side items are available for purchase a la carte.

Student Accounts and Payments

Your student's district assigned ID number is also used for cafeteria purchases. Please help your student(s) to memorize their number.  

Because student meals are free, no "charging" is allowed. This means a la carte purchases must be funded at the time of service either with money in the account or cash or check in hand.

Visit SchoolCafe Family Hub to make payments*, view purchases, add purchase restrictions, and so much more!

*The minimum payment allowed online is $15.00. Cash and check are accepted in any amount in the school cafeteria.

Students are allowed on school grounds beginning at 7:40am. Upon arrival, students should go to their designated stairwell entrance located on the north side of the school building. Students may begin entering the building at 7:40am according to their grade level and staggered entry schedule.

After the 8:00am tardy bell, students enter the building through the cafeteria doors until 8:10am.

After 8:10am, students must check in at the office and will receive a tardy pass

School will begin at 9:00am for all grades PK-8.  

PK One hour delay:  

• All AM preschool morning classroom sessions will start one hour after the normal time:  9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

• All PM class will begin and end usual time: 12:10 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.

K-8 One hour delay: 9:00 a.m.-3:10 p.m.
