I am excited to teach Kindergarten again this year. This will be my 18th year teaching in Adams 12. I have taught Kindergarten for 13 years. Prior to teaching Kindergarten, I taught first grade for 5 years. In 2018, I had the the privilege of being a part of the opening staff of Thunder Vista P-8. I have a Bachelors degree from the University of Missouri in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Literacy from the University of Colorado. In January of 2007, I had the honor of being chosen as a “9News Teacher Who Cares.” My teaching style and experience is included in Success Secrets of Super Teachers: How to Raise Your Teaching to the Next Level by Ernest D. Pierce.
My family and I enjoy traveling, hiking, and everything Disney. I also enjoy writing and teaching the joy of writing to my students. I love teaching students to “read as writers” and express their thoughts through written words. I strive to make my classroom a place where students love to be!
