I am thrilled to be back for my fourth year as a Speech Language Pathologist at Thunder Vista. I have been a school based SLP since 2009 and began in Adams 12 in 2011. As an SLP I work with and support students with speech/language needs to strengthen their skills and help them become effective communicators at school, home, and in life. I absolutely love my position and it is my distinct honor and privilege to work with such wonderful hard-working students each day. I strongly believe that establishing rapport is the first step to building a successful teaching relationship and I cherish the relationships I have built with students over the years. Collaboration with parents, families, teachers, and students is part of my daily practice and is key to supporting the success of all students.
I grew up in California where I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis in 2004. I moved to Colorado in 2006 and received my MA in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2009.
When I am not at work, I spend my time with my wonderful husband, our two children (Charlie, 8 and Daisy, 6) and our dogs (Bo Jackson and Bessie) going on adventures and enjoying the outdoors. I love reading, going for runs, and spending time with my friends and family! I look forward to another wonderful year at Thunder Vista!
