I am very excited to be a part of the Thunder Vista community and cannot wait to begin this journey! This year will be my 6th year as a teacher and my first year in 5th grade. In the past I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I grew up in Michigan and received my bachelor’s degree in education and Masters in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University. My favorite part about teaching is getting to know my students and learning and growing alongside them throughout the school year! I strive to create a safe and nurturing classroom where my students feel comfortable taking risks and growing as learners!
In my free time I enjoy hiking, skiing, practicing yoga, and running outdoors. I moved to Colorado 2 years ago and absolutely love living here. There is so much to explore and I like to spend as much time as I can on new adventures outdoors!
I look forward to getting to know my students and the Thunder Vista families as we embark on a new school year!
