I am excited to teach STEM at Thunder Vista. The STEM model allows kids to use what they know in creative ways to solve problems. It amazes me what students come up with when we don't limit their thinking. I started out teaching environmental and outdoor education years ago in the Northwest. Since that time I have gone back to school several times because I believe we are all life long learners. My learning has taken me around the world to some incredible places including Borneo and Africa. I taught 5th grade and math intervention for many years in Denver. I feel fortunate to start a new chapter of teaching at Thunder Vista.
In my spare time, I enjoy anything outdoors, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family. Over the summer I enjoy spending my time on a river in canyon country or working in my garden.
