I am so excited to be a part of the Thunder Vista learning community! I look forward to building relationships with the students and parents of this community and having the opportunity to see my students grow throughout the years. I believe that effective learning requires collaboration between teacher, students and parents grounded in mutual respect and trust. I want my classroom to be a community full of inquiry and fun where students are challenged and leave school excited for the following day! I strive to help create an environment where students feel free to make mistakes and grow as learners. I will help guide my students through the learning process and help them to reach their fullest potential .
I was born and raised in Ohio. In 2002, I received my BA in Elementary Education from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. I also received my Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. I spent the first 8 years of my career teaching in Ohio. In 2011, I moved to Colorado with my family. I have spent the last 6 years teaching in this beautiful state I now call my home.
In my free time, I love going on adventures with my husband, daughter, son and our dog. We love to go to the mountains to go hiking, camping and skiing. I also enjoy reading, watching football and going to the movies.
I look forward to teaching kindergarten at Thunder Vista and getting to know all my students and families!
