It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I am a part of the Thunder Vista Family. I have taught all grade levels from Kindergarten to 12th grade through the years in the Adams 12 School District. My passion for Art began as an elementary school student myself as I was often caught drawing unicorns during common core classes. In those days we did not have an Art teacher in primary schools. It is very much my passion to advocate for the Arts in every student's education as we nurture their expressive and creative minds. The Arts promote invention, innovation, risk taking, and the ability to express original thought as we prepare our students for future success.
I personally enjoy creating my own artwork in a variety of mediums from clay to painting to mixed media and anything else I can get my hands on. Creating Art is not just a hobby, it's essential to my well being. As a Colorado native, I also enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, running, skiing, camping and basically anything this beautiful state has to offer. My family of seven keeps me busy and gives me the gift of happiness as they are my greatest adventure.
It truly is an honor to teach and create with the amazing students here at Thunder Vista.
