I am so excited to have this new opportunity at Thunder Vista as the Social Emotional Learning Specialist. It is a dream come true to get to work in this capacity alongside a brilliant, extremely dedicated staff, and such a supportive community. This is a new title for me, since I have been a School Psychologist in Boulder Valley, and before that, Adams 14. I have been in education for almost 20 years and I am ecstatic to get to call Thunder Vista and Adams 12 my new home because of the warm welcome and genuinely kind nature of everyone I have met. Although this title is new for me, it is very familiar work, and where my passion has directed me for about the last five years. Helping a school community build their culture of safety and support is incredibly rewarding. A community with common strong core values for caring for one another, encouraging each other, and knowing we are all in this together, is a safe haven for children, teachers, and parents. It is one we can all thrive and grow. The Thunder Vista community already shows so many strengths in how they work together, accept different points of view, and shows such beautiful connections. I am so fortunate to get to continue this work here.
When I am not with my school family, I will be with my three daughters and husband as we try to keep up with the crazy and fun filled life we have built together. When I am really living my best life, tennis and Crossfit find their way into my schedule. A good book is always the way I like to end my day.
I look forward to supporting all members of this community as we continue this journey of learning together!
