I enthusiastically welcome this opportunity to be part of the exciting Thunder Vista learning community. I am looking forward to building relationships with my colleagues, students, families and the community.
I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and with my teaching credentials. In 2005 I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Counseling. My teaching career began in a kindergarten class in Colorado 17 years ago. I found that I loved teaching these young students! For the past 10 years I have continued to enjoy teaching first graders in Adams 12.
I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Boulder to attend college. I feel fortunate to have lived in two very beautiful states. I enjoy hiking, traveling, sports, the theater, museums, and reading. I look forward to the new adventures.
My hope is that my students will be excited about learning, will continue to be curious and creative, feel free to inquire, and develop a love of learning for life.
